Landmark Church is located on the west side of Jefferson City near the Gerbes at the corner of Truman/Industrial and Commerce/179. We recently completed the remodel of a pair of brick office buildings to house our worship sanctuary, classrooms, prayer room, offices, and community outreach areas. Whether you’re a native of the capital city or just visiting, we’d love to see you!
Sunday mornings include worship and the Word at 10 AM for adults and children of all ages. Service normally lasts about two hours. Abundant Life Recovery begins at 7 PM every Wednesday and usually lasts for 60 minutes.
You will find all manner of dress at Landmark Church. Some come in jeans, while others will be in suits and dresses. In general, our midweek activities are more casual. You are welcome to wear whatever makes you comfortable.
Feel free to pull in to the church parking lot and take a spot as close as you can. The main entrance is to the lefthand side as you look at the building. You may see folks out in the parking lot with welcome signs directing you to the proper door, and others inside the building waiting to greet you with a wave and a smile. One of our volunteers may ask you to fill out a Visitor Card with some basic contact information. We just ask for this so we can reach out to you later with information about upcoming activities and to see how we can help you connect with Jesus and the Landmark Church community.
Landmark Church has a vibrant children’s ministry. On Sunday mornings children participate in their own worship service! Bible lessons, crafts, games, snacks, and other activities are led by a dedicated children's ministry team. Wednesday nights there are Bible classes for children and youth.
All students are checked in and out by their parents or guardian. We will ask you for some basic contact information just in case we need to get in touch with you during service. We also have a staffed nursery during Sunday worship. You always have the option to keep your children with you in the main service, should you prefer.
Every experience at Landmark Church is different. We believe in following the leading of the Holy Spirit, and though we have a schedule and value your time, we always want to be obedient to God. Services typically start with some announcements, an opportunity to give, and requests for prayer. Then, we enjoy music led by a team of worship leaders, praise singers, and musicians. We sing a combination of traditional hymns, modern praise, and worship songs, with the occasional urban or southern gospel tune. Our worship is passionate. We clap our hands, raise our arms, and demonstrate other heartfelt expressions of praise. Feel free to join in and worship God in whatever ways are comfortable for you. After singing, our pastor or one of our other ministers will preach a dynamic and relevant message, and will often allow time at the end for people to respond by coming to the front to pray.
